CEO for Aurora Culture & Congress AB – Help shape the future of Kiruna!

Do you want to play a key role in the future of Kiruna and lead an organization at the heart of the city's transformation?

We are looking for a CEO for Aurora Culture & Congress – a meeting place where culture, community development, and innovation come together!

As CEO, you will have the opportunity to lead a relatively new company and its exciting development. Kiruna is in the midst of a historic urban transformation where Aurora Culture & Congress plays a central role in shaping the city's future. Your task will be to drive the business forward, ensure financial sustainability, and create an attractive and inclusive cultural and event arena.

You will be responsible for the organization's strategy, finances, and ongoing management according to the board's directives. Together with your team, you will develop the company's operations into the future towards its vision and based on the owner's directive. The organization consists of about 15 dedicated employees in booking, restaurant, kitchen, property, finance, and communication.

You will monitor and analyze trends to stay updated and ensure continuous development of the business and its offerings. The role involves extensive contact both internally and externally, where you actively build and strengthen collaborations with customers, associations, businesses, public actors, and other relevant stakeholders.

You operate in a politically governed organization, report to a politically appointed board, and collaborate closely with Kiruna municipality's strategic management.

We are looking for a leader motivated by culture, community development, and business management.

You have several years of leadership experience with result responsibility, a relevant academic education, or equivalent work experience.

To meet future needs and develop the business, it is important that you have a genuine interest in culture and community development as well as environmental and trend monitoring. It is natural for you to work with changes and development while balancing the needs and expectations of the board, the municipality, and the employees.

To be successful in this role, you are an inclusive leader who enjoys being in the midst of operations and works both operationally and strategically. You are a forward-looking, results-oriented, and structured leader who thrives on working with the cultural development of Kiruna's residents as the primary goal. The qualities we seek include good communication skills, a relationship-building approach, and a business-oriented mindset. The position also requires a good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You are a present and engaged leader who builds trust and leads the organization forward.
